Note: To upload a set of files please check out BatchFileUpload for instructions.
- How to upload a file here?
- [Register] using your email address for an account.
- Check your email for the generated password. You need that password to upload a file.
- It is recommended that you change the password which you can easily remember. To change the password, you can use the same [form].
- [Upload] using the form.
- Remember to fill out every entry.
- Don't forget to give appropriate suffix for the file you are uploading.
- Use A-Z 0-9 and _ . only in the file name
- Read [notes] if you are confused about what to fill in the uploading form
- To delete an uploaded file. One can only delete files that are uploaded by himself/herself
- First go to the listing of all uploaded file. [listing]
- Click the button list
- Select file that you want to delete
- Enter your email address and password to delete the file.
- How to refer to the file X you just uploaded
- Within this website, you can refer to it by typing Uploads:X in any part of your edit.
- The actual URL is http://zu.meltonfoundation.org/wikiupload/X
- If you want to include a picture into the wiki page, Uploads:X.jpg will not work. If the uploaded file is a picture and the file name ends with a jpg, gif suffix, just type in the full URL will cause the image to included in your post. (However, Uploads:X.jpg will remain a link)
- The uploaded picture is too big (geometry being too big) to include nicely into a page. How can we correct this?
- Use Picture resize tool: http://zu.meltonfoundation.org/meltoncgi/resizepicture.py Generic password needed.
- Enter the URL to the oversized picture into picture resizing tool.
- Pick a file name and select a size you want the picture being resized to. Large Medium or Small medium is usually good to include in a wiki page (considering today's 17-21 inch monitors at 1024x768 to 1600x1200.)
- Save the converted file and upload it again to wiki site. Edit the original post to point to the versions of the picture of appropriate size.
- See uploaded files listing: Uploads
- Use the following form to upload
