Adapted from a message sent by Becky, Zheng Can, replying to a message from Liu Jia
We have been using the web-based Yahoo Chat. As long as your web browser is Java-enabled, you are fine. To make sure you are able to use at least basic text functions of Yahoo Chat! Please do the following
    1. Apply for a Yahoo ID. (If you have already have a yahoo email address like xyz@yahoo.com(.cn). Your Yahoo Id is xyz.
    2. Go to http://chat.yahoo.com. Signin with your Yahoo Id at upper page.
    3. Click on "Enter chat room". This will bring a progressing bar showing "connecting to chat server".
    or try this link http://chat.yahoo.com/?room=Chat+Central%3a%3ameltonzu2002
    1. Click on "continue" once the progress reaches 100%.
    2. If everything goes fine, you will be brought to a chat window with a text line at the bottom that you can type in characters.
    3. Usually we will use the chat room name "meltonzu2002". So just type "/join meltonzu2002" and hit return. That will bring you to the right chat room we have. :D
